online game used for learning with toddlers

parents are starting to use online gaming to play and help there children learn from online activities while spending qauility time with them. this is effective because you can help them learn at their own pace and as a parent you can still encourage them and help them along. Fisher-Price is one of many companies trying to help explore onling gaming for parents and there children..

  1. Hi Bruce,
Thanks for providing this example. I guess the age limit (or should I say minimum) for using online games is limitless. I'd love to actually see a toddler use this sort of game, just to watch how they navigate and react to the audio and visuals provided.

  2. Bruce & Mickey,
It is so cool to watch kids and yes even toddlers use online gaming. I am always amazed to see how quickly kids "catch on" and learn what is needed to navigate through the games.

  3. Hi Bruce! This example is a really useful way for us to think about online gaming and how it can also be used to educate kids.

  4. thanks fellow classmates. i am wondering if anyone has encountered trying these games. i know i have played certain games like this and i am trying to teach my 2 year old niece to use these. but of toddlers i still think that it is used for more entertainment than educational. what are your opinions on this?

  5. Bruce, I think computer skills may also rely on more fine motor skills, which develop as children age. The bright colors, sounds, and characters are what tends to hold their attention at first, but keeps them interested in it so that they may learn something later.
